2021 5th Annual Holiday Party

WIR ZOOM MEETING OCT 2021 Topic: “Work/life balance” featuring two of our own faculty as guest speakers, Drs. Waly Pabon-Ramos and Tammy Kreuzer.

Group picture, no Zoom picture available

Waly and Tammy discussed how they successfully managed their family life and careers. Tips such as seeing work/life balance in a longitudinal view rather than moment to moment; and giving yourself credit for how much you’ve accomplished, even when you don’t feel like you fit in with the other “moms” or “the men at work”. Waly explained how she has found a live-in nanny “au pair” to be very helpful. Another comment was to “forgive yourself if you make mistakes”—you can’t do it all perfectly!”
