APPROPRIATE USE CRITERIA
Priority clinical areas and associated AUC are identified and prioritized based on analysis of health system utilization rates and indications with the highest opportunity for improvement. Criteria selection may be based on the prevalence of the condition, the variability of practice, the relative cost, the potential for morbidity or mortality, and the potential for improved care.
