Joshua Wilson, Ph.D., Appointed Director of Imaging Physics Residency Program

Congratulations to Dr. Joshua Wilson, Ph.D., recently appointed Director of Imaging Physics Residency Program.

“We are delighted to announce that Dr. Joshua Wilson, Ph.D. will assume the directorship of the Imaging Physics Residency Program at Duke Radiology, Effective May 1, 2021. Dr. Wilson is a graduate of the Duke Medical Physics Program and the Image Physics Residency Program and is a staff physicist with the Clinical Imaging Physics Group (CIPG). He has held multiple leadership positions within the Duke Medical Physics and Imaging programs including assistant director of the Medical Physics Graduate Program, Lead Physicist for MR and Nuclear Medicine, and Deputy Director of the Imaging Physics Residency Program. He has made many significant contributions to the clinical and educational services at Duke.”

“We thank Dr. Ehsan Samei, Ph.D. who served as the founding director of the Imaging Physics Residency Program since 2010. Under his leadership, the program secured multiple external educational grants and obtained accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP). Dr. Samei will continue to serve as the head of CIPG and Chief of Imaging Physics for Duke University Health System while assuming a new leadership role as the director of the Duke Center for Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT).”
