Stephanie Blocker, PhD Receives Fall 2023 DCI Pilot Award
Dr. Stephanie Blocker was awarded the Fall 2023 Duke Cancer Institute (DCI) Pilot Award to study solid tumors with magnetic resonance histology (MRH). Her proposal, “Identifying histologic sources of magnetic resonance signal and radiomic signatures in prostate cancer specimens using MR histology,” is the first to apply this novel technology for radiomic and pathomic applications in clinical prostate cancers. The goal of the work is to improve how radiologists interpret prostate cancer images by directly connecting prostate radiology to histology at the tissue level.
Excellent work, Stephanie! We are so proud of you and look forward to the many things we will continue to learn from you.
