2023 American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting

Researchers, and scientists, from Duke's Center of Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT), RAILabs, and Clinical Imaging Physics Group (CIPG) present at the AAPM annual meeting.

A total of 15 scientific studies will be presented at the 2023 American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) annual meeting by Duke's Center of Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT), RAILabs, and Clinical Imaging Physics Group (CIPG) scientists.  The AAPM annual meeting is a leading medical physics conference, recognized worldwide, and this year will be held in Houston, TX, July 23-27.

The presentations will highlight CVIT's work in several research areas and modalities. From the clinical evaluation of automated exposure control systems in radiography to photon counting CT; from virtual imaging trial studies to the optimization of contrast media administration.

CVIT Director Dr. Ehsan Samei, Ph.D., FACR is also serving as AAPM President for 2023 and will lead several Presidential events that will emphasize the theme of the conference: “The Art of Science, the Science of Care”. In particular, the Presidential Symposium will include prominent artists and thought leaders that will debate the conference topics.
