The Society of Computed Body Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Recognizes Drs. Larson and Mileto

Douglas Larson MD, Abdominal Imaging Fellow, was awarded the Hounsfield Award for top research in Computed Tomography (CT) by the Society of Computed Body Tomography and Magnetic Resonance at their 2013 Annual Meeting, for his residency research project performed at Duke entitled “CT Dose Variability For Patients Undergoing Repeat Identical CT Scans: A Retrospective Analysis Of 2606 Patients Undergoing 12,632 CT Scans”.

Dr. Achille Mileto, Abdominal Imaging Research Fellow, was also recognized and received the Cum Laude CT Award for his presentation entitled “Dual Energy CT in Hypervascular Liver Lesions: Selection of the Optimal Monochromatic Energy Level with Gemstone Spectral Imaging”.
