DTRI Awards Dr. Ned Patz Translational Research Pilot Funding
The Duke Translational Research Institute has awarded funding in the amount of $100,000 for a collaborative Research Pilot Project to Dr. Ned Patz, Professor of Radiology and a member of the Chest Imaging Division, for his project entitled “Cues from the Native Immune Response: Targeting Lung Cancer with Complement Factor H Antibodies”.
Dr. Patz has been working with the Duke Human Vaccine Institute where he discovered the 1st human derived antibody for cancer therapy. This funding will allow his work to continue developing a monoclonal antibody to treat cancer.
