Duke Review Course 2020 – Virtual Meeting
The Duke Review Course will be presented virtually December 7-11. Lectures will be Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm each day. Additional lectures including physics and the multiple choice questions answer sessions will be available for on-demand viewing. A daily Q&A session will take place 4:00-4:30 p.m. Registration is open.
Stay safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you soon.
We have some exciting news about changes that are being made to the Duke Review Course. In an effort to align the review course with the current standards of assessment for our residents, we are redesigning our review course.
Changes that will be undertaken include:
- Reassessment of topics considered crucial for the ABR core examination
- Redesign of lectures to make them appropriate for current standards of assessment
- And most importantly, incorporation of live questions with audience response assessment during lectures to better stimulate active learning
We believe these changes are necessary as we evolve our course to make it the best preparatory experience for learners at all levels. With these changes, we will continue to offer extensive clinically relevant physics instruction while also providing evening practice question sessions with answer discussions as before.
Self Assessment Modules as qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification program will be offered. Earn over 25 SA-CME credits in one week.
Learning Objectives
- Identify and discuss the latest modalities and techniques being used in the field of Diagnostic Radiology
- Discuss differential diagnoses of common disease processes as they are seen on radiographic imaging
- Demonstrate compliance with various governing agencies to sustain accreditation, licensing and board certification requirements
ACCREDITATION
In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education & Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education & Professional Development designates this activity for a maximum of 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
