Advances in Oncologic Imaging 2016

Self-Assessment Modules as qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certificate Program will be offered.

This course has been designed for the radiologist interested in gaining a greater understanding of advances in oncologic imaging, specifically implementing a multidisciplinary approach to education via a combination of experts from Duke’s Divisions of Abdominal Imaging, Breast, Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Neuroradiology, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology. A guest lecturer from Nuclear Medicine at the University of North Carolina will also be presenting complementary topics to enhance the experience for the audience.

Following participation in this activity, participants should be able to:
• Identify and discuss the latest modalities and techniques being used in Oncologic Imaging across a variety of subspecialties.
• Discuss differential diagnoses of common disease processes as they are seen on radiologic images.
• Demonstrate a greater understanding of the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the care of the oncologic patient.
