Advanced Imaging in the Islands 2021- Meeting Canceled

Feb 15, 2021 - Feb 18, 2021
The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman - Grand Cayman Island

We sincerely appreciate your support of Duke Radiology CME.   It is with regret that we need to cancel the 2021 Advanced Imaging in the Islands meeting scheduled for Febuary 2021.  Due to COVID-19, the Duke University School of Medicine has made some difficult decisions regarding events and activities for the winter.  With the continued uncertainty around entry requirements and quarantine orders for international travel, we are not going to be able to hold the meeting in January as planned.  We had been very hopeful that conditions would improve to allow for an in-person meeting.

In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education & Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education & Professional Development designates this activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

We are pleased to offer Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) which meet the American Board of Radiology’s criteria for self-assessment activities in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program.

This course has been designed for the radiologist who performs abdominal, breast, cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal, pediatric and neuroradiologic imaging and procedures.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify and discuss the latest modalities and techniques being used in the field of Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Discuss differential diagnoses of common disease processes as they are seen on radiologic images.
  • Demonstrate compliance with various governing agencies to sustain accreditation, licensing and board certificate requirements.
