We are pleased to offer Self-Assessment Modules which meet the American Board of Radiology’s criteria for self-assessment activities in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course has been designed for the radiologist interested in gaining a greater knowledge of advances in Diagnostic Radiology.  Experts from multiple subspecialties will update the participants on the latest approach to diagnosing and treating various disease processes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the newest imaging techniques and modalities being used to diagnose various abnormalities in the abdominal, musculoskeletal and central nervous systems in children and adults.
  • Describe techniques and procedures currently being used to diagnose and treat various abnormalities in children and adults.
  • Describe the latest methods in Radiology IT, treatments for contrast media reactions and medical legal issues that arise in daily Radiology practices.

ACCREDITATION

In support of improving patient care, Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education & Professional Development is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the health care team.

Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education and Professional Development designates this Duke Radiology in the Islands 2019 activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. When booking air, you want to choose flights in and out of Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), located approximately 20 minutes from the resort. Taxis are readily available and cost approximately $25 per taxi plus luggage fees.  Alternatively, if you wish to explore the island on your own a rental car is suggested.

Registration

Registration fee is $895 on or before December 20, 2018 or $970 after December 20, 2018.   The fee is payable by check made out to Aladdin Travel & Meeting Planners or by visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.  There is a $100 administrative fee for cancellation.  Written notification of cancellation must be received by January 7, 2019 to receive refund.

Printed syllabus will not be available.  All material will be distributed electronically.  A printer-friendly version will be made available prior to the course for anyone who wishes to print it for themselves.
