COURSE DESCRIPTION:  This program is designed provide an update to radiologists who perform a combination of neuroradiology, cardiothoracic, breast, musculoskeletal and/or abdominal imaging in adults and/or children.  

Educational Goals:  

– Discuss the newest imaging techniques and modalities being use to diagnose various abnormalities in the abdominal and musculoskeletal systems in adults and children.

– Describe techniques and procedures currently being used in neuroimging.

– Analyze new techniques and procedures in abdominal, cardiothoracic, neuro, breast and musculoskeletal imaging.

ACCREDITATION:  The Duke University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Duke University Health System Department of Clinical Education and Professional Development designates this Duke Radiology Beach Course activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.  

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Resort service fee of 8% per villa per day will apply to all villa rentals.  The resort service fee includes on demand, on-island transportation to all resort owned venues via the existing fleet of resort vehicles.  Transportation hours are 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.  The resort fee also includes 800 and local phone calls, credit card access calls, and in-room coffee.

Rates are subject to 6.5% South Carolina state tax and 6% local taxes (subject to change).  Maximum occupancy at Kiawah Island Golf Resort is two adults  per bedroom.  Children under the age of 18 when accompanied by an adult and staying in the same room are free of charge.  Check in time is 4:30 pm and check out is 10:30 am.  These rates will be available three (3) days prior and three (3) days after scheduled conference dates.  Rooms are being held at these rates until May 14, 2015 or until the room block is full.  To make reservations call 1-800-654-2924.  To receive the group rate, reference Duke Radiology Brains to Bones or you can reference the group number 10604.  You may also fax reservations to 843-768-2736 or email group_reservations@kiawahresort.com.

Registration

Registration fee is $895 for physicians on or before May 14, 2015.   After May 14, 2015 the registration fee becomes $970.  The registration fee includes tuition, continental breakfast and refreshment breaks.  The fee is payable to “Aladdin Travel & Meeting Planners” or by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.  There is a $100 administrative fee for cancellation.  No refund within 3 days of first day of meeting.

In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we will distribute syllabi electronically.  You are encouraged to bring your laptop or electronic device to follow along.  A paper syllabus will only be provided upon request at a cost of $25.
