Self-Assessment Modules as qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certificate Program will be offered.

This course has been designed for the radiologist who may perform abdominal, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal and/or interventional procedures.  This course will include the most up to date techniques in each of these specialized imaging areas.

The physician should come away with improved knowledge of the latest techniques and protocols being employed.

At the conclusion of this course the participant should be able to:

  • Discuss the newest imaging techniques and modalities being used to diagnose various abnormalities.
  • Describe techniques and procedures currently being used in abdominal, neuroradiology, musculoskeletal and interventional radiology.
  • Analyze new techniques and procedures in abdominal , neuroradiology, musculoskeletal and interventional radiology.

The Duke University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Accommodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas from Friday, February 13, 2015 through Friday, February 20, 2015.  Rates will be available three days pre/post meeting dates based on availability.  These rooms will be held until the block is full or until the cut off date, February 12, 2015.  After the block is full or the cut-off date, room reservations will be subject to prevailing rates/availability.

 

The group rate in The Reef is $439 per night for Run-of-House and $519 per night for one bedroom.  The Royal Tower is $349 per night.  The Coral Tower rate is $289 per night.  The Cove is $499 per night.  Other room types and rates may be available at a discount in addition to those listed above.  Meal plans are not available with these discounted room rates.

 

All rates are for single or double occupancy.  There is no charge for children eleven (11) years of age and under sharing a room with parents.  There will be an additional charge of $50 per night (plus applicable taxes, gratuities and charges) for any person twelve (12) years of age or older sharing a room.   Please note:  Additional fees, taxes, gratuities, and leavies will apply to all room rates and are subject to change.  Check with the hotel at time of booking for current charges.

Registration

Registration fee is $895 on or before January 15, 2015.

We offer discounted registration rates to Duke Radiology alumni of $795 and Military/NonMD of $695.

On or after January 15, 2015 there is a $75 late fee in addition to the registration fee.

In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we will distribute syllabus materials to the attendees electronically.  You are welcome to bring your laptop to the lectures should you wish to follow along.  A paper syllabus will only be provided upon request at a cost of $25.  Please mark the appropriate box on the registration form.

The fee is payable by check made out to “Aladdin Travel & Meeting Planners” or by Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.  There is a $100 administrative fee for cancellation.  Written notification must be received by February 11, 2015 to receive refund.
