2016 Resident Graduation Banquet and Awards

On Saturday, June 4th 2016, the Department of Radiology Resident Class of 2016 was recognized for successful completion of their formal training in Diagnostic Radiology and Certification by the American Board of Radiology. As part of the honors, the graduating class was presented with the following awards:

  • Fellow Teaching Award Presented to the Fellow most dedicated to excellence in Resident Education: Rustain Morgan, M.D., Resident in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Reed P. Rice Memorial Award Presented to Junior Faculty dedicated to excellence in Resident Education: Emily N. Vinson, M.D., Assistant Professor of Radiology and a member of the Musculoskeletal Imaging Division.
  • William F. Barry, Jr, M.D., Memorial Award Presented to Senior Faculty For excellence in teaching: Holman P. McAdams, M.D., FACR, Professor of Radiology and a member of the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division.
  • Carey E. Floyd, JR, Memorial Award for excellence in Imaging Physics Instruction Presented to: Mustafa R. Bashir, M.D., Associate Professor of Radiology, and Director, Center for Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Charles E. Putman Memorial Award to Division most dedicated to excellence in Resident Education: Abdominal Imaging.
  • Resident Service Award: Matthew Langman, M.D., M.S.I.S.
  • Resident Teaching Award: Matthew Langman, M.D., M.S.I.S.
  • Roentgen Resident Research Award: Jeffrey Prescott, M.D., Ph.D.
  • Chief Residents Honored: Cole Denton, M.D., Wendy Ehieli M.D.,  Jason Extein, M.D.
