Breast Radiology Faculty Position

The Department of Radiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking an MQSA-qualified breast imaging radiologist to complement six other collegial radiologists in the Breast Imaging Division.  This is a rare opening in a division emphasizing excellence in patient care, research, and teaching.  Opportunities exist for a candidate wishing to combine the highest levels of clinical practice with clinical  or basic science research endeavors.  Alternatively, this position can be tailored for the radiologist who wishes to focus more fully on clinical excellence.  Protected academic time is available on either track for teaching, research or administrative responsibilities.  The Division of Breast Imaging presently performs 30,000 imaging studies per year including screening/diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound (3 dedicated high-end US units) and breast MRI (1.5T and 3T).  Over 1,000 stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided procedures are performed annually.  Research activities in the division presently include NIH funding for digital breast tomosynthesis, computer-aided diagnosis, and positron emission breast imaging.  Other ongoing projects include basic and clinical research on breast ultrasound and breast MRI.  Interested applicants should contact Jay Baker, M.D. (Division Chief), Box 3808, DUMC, Durham, NC 27710; telephone (919) 684-7645; jay.baker@duke.edu.  Duke University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
 

Neuroradiology Faculty Position

The Department of Radiology at Duke University Medical Center announces a faculty position in Neuroradiology.  The position will be at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and is open to individuals who have completed a Neuroradiology fellowship in an accredited training program and who is a senior ASNR member.  We seek an individual with strong clinical training in MR, CT, myelography, cerebral angiography and spine pain intervention procedures.  The Neuroradiology division operates a high-volume clinical practice with a broad range of neurological and neurosurgical disease processes.  Research facilities include two 3T and a 4T MR scanner dedicated to basic and clinical research in brain function.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and degree of experience.  Interested applicants should respond to:  James M.
