The residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Duke University is a five year combined residency and fellowship program which accepts 12 residents per year. A one year preliminary or rotating internship is a prerequisite. Duke Radiology serves the Duke University Medical Center (DUMC), which is recognized as one of the world’s great health care providers. DUMC is located on the Duke University undergraduate campus, and includes Duke Hospital, a 1,000 bed tertiary and quaternary care hospital, as well as the neighboring Duke Clinics and Duke Childrens Hospital. Duke Radiology residents also rotate at the Durham VA Hospital, which is across the street.
Duke Radiology is a highly specialized, full-service department, committed to providing outstanding care utilizing state-of-the-art technology and subspecialty expertise. Our department performs over 500,000 examinations, and over 30,000 image-guided procedures, annually.
